Deposit & Partial Payment Policy

This Deposit and Partial Payment Policy is issued by Simonetta Wang Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. This policy clearly defines the deposit rules, production activation conditions, balance payment deadlines, order forfeiture terms, and cancellation rules applicable to all semi-custom made-to-measure garment orders placed on www.simonettawang.com.
Our bespoke garments are fully personalised items manufactured according to each customer’s unique measurements and custom requirements. Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, custom-made personalised goods are exempt from the statutory 14-day cooling-off right. The 15-day deposit cooling-off period stated below is a voluntary customer service provided solely by our company.
1. Two Payment Structure Options
Customers may choose either of the following two payment methods when placing an order:
1.1 Split payment (50% deposit + 50% final balance)
1.2 Full one-time payment (100% upfront settlement)
Both payment structures follow the same deposit cooling-off rules and production activation conditions set out in this policy.
2. 15-Day Deposit Cooling-off Period (Applies to All Orders)
2.1 Regardless of whether you pay a 50% deposit or 100% full payment, a 15-calendar-day deposit cooling-off period will start immediately after your payment clears our corporate account.
2.2 During the 15-day cooling-off window, you may submit a written cancellation request via official email. We will provide a 100% full refund with no deductions.
2.3 No production work will begin during the cooling-off period. All tailoring, pattern cutting, fabric allocation and manufacturing will only commence after the 15-day cooling-off period fully expires.
3. Rule for Full Upfront Payment Orders (100% Paid in Advance)
3.1 After the 15-day cooling-off period expires, production officially starts.
3.2 If you voluntarily cancel your order after production has commenced (for personal reasons and without manufacturing defects), we will only refund 50% of the total order amount. The remaining 50% is retained to cover confirmed fabric consumption, pattern-making labour and fixed production overheads.
3.3 Once production is completed, we will send a completion notification email and arrange shipment directly. No further balance payment is required, and no post-production cancellation will be accepted.
4. Rule for Split Payment Orders (50% Deposit + 50% Balance)
4.1 After the 15-day deposit cooling-off period expires, we officially start full garment production based on your confirmed measurements and design details.
4.2 When the garment is 100% fully manufactured, we will send a balance payment notification email only. No finished product images will be included in this notification.
4.3 You are required to settle the remaining 50% balance within 7 calendar days from the date of our balance notification email.
4.4 No balance cooling-off period applies. Once your balance payment clears our account, we will immediately commence shipment preparation and dispatch without any waiting period.
5. Balance Payment Overdue & Order Forfeiture Rule
5.1 For split payment orders, if the full balance payment is not received within the 7-day payment window, and no formal written payment extension has been approved by our team in advance via email, the order will be automatically forfeited.
5.2 In the event of order forfeiture, we reserve the right to permanently dispose of the finished custom garment. The initial 50% deposit is non-refundable to cover material costs, pattern labour and production losses incurred during manufacturing.
5.3 Legal ownership of all custom garments remains with Simonetta Wang Ltd until the order is fully paid (deposit + balance cleared in full).
6. Post-Balance-Payment Cancellation Rule
Once the final balance payment is confirmed and shipment procedures have started, no voluntary order cancellation requests will be accepted under any personal circumstances. No deposit or balance refunds will be issued for change-of-mind cancellations.
7. Production & Shipment Boundary
7.1 All production work is finalised before balance payment is requested. No further design adjustments or measurement modifications will be accepted after the cooling-off period ends.
7.2 Once the parcel is dispatched to the logistics carrier, all transit procedures are managed by the courier. We will assist customers with communication and follow-up support for lost or damaged parcels, in accordance with our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy.
